1st International Conference on Computer Science and Applications (ICCSA 2024) successfully concluded at TIEST, Mithi Tharparkar.
Thar Institute of Engineering, Sciences and Technology (TIEST), hosted an International Conference on Computer Science and Applications (ICCSA-2024). The event was held on 12th and 13th of January 2024, in hybrid mode (Physical/online at zoom link). The theme of the conference was "Collecting Ideas, Transforming Digital Horizons". The conference participants declared it the first international technical conference of Tharparkar in millions of years. The conference was jointly organized with Institution of Engineers (IEP) Pakistan, NED University of Engineering and Technology and many other national and international institutions and universities. The presenters from UK, USA, Malaysia and Pakistan presented their research work. Twenty-three researchers presented their research work in three parallel sessions of the conference. Invited talk from renowned industry experts were also held in the conference, they presented the current practices and challenges faced by the industry and their potential solutions. Mr. Arsalan Khan CEO Shispare, Prof. Dr. Qamar Abbasi from University of Glasgow & Mr. Rehan-ul-Haq from multitalent.ai delivered their key note speeches in the inaugural and closing sessions of the conference.
Graduation Dinner 2023
Thar Institute of Engineering, Sciences and Technology, Tharparkar almost has completed its four years. Its first batch is graduating in October 2023. In the honor of the first TIEST graduates a graduation dinner was arranged on 13th August 2023. The Worthy Vice Chancellor NED University Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hasmat Lodi travelled all the way from Karachi and graced his presence on this historical occasion. The Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail, all deans, Director Finance, Registrar and Deputy Registrar, NED University also have attended the event. The new graduates were excited for this moment and shared the views and experiences at TIEST. The Principal TIEST, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor addressed the participants. The Vice Chancellor discussed the challenges faced in last four years. He also congratulated the graduates and their parents and wished them good luck in their professional career.
Job Fair 2023
The Job Fair 2023 event took place on June 10th, 2023, exclusively for final year students of TIEST. Twelve well-known organizations participated in the event, including TPS Worldwide, Folio3, Stringy, visiosoft SBP, PSE, and more.
During the Job Fair, representatives from these organizations conducted sessions on current market needs, offering valuable insights and conducting mock interviews to motivate and prepare students. They also provided tips on CV writing and interview preparation.
Moreover, the representatives guided students on developing skills using the latest tools demanded in the competitive job market. Students were encouraged to equip themselves with these tools and skills and submit their CVs to the organizations for potential opportunities.
