Mission Statement of the Programme

“To produce versatile computing professionals to satisfy the demands of both industry and academia. The programme will inculcate in the student sound theoretical foundations of computer science and the applied practical skills needed to address challenging problems to be solved using computers and adapt to the rapid advancements in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology”.

Objectives of the Programme

  • To develop in the graduate proficiency in analysis, design and management of computer based systems that are essential for the development of computer based information systems appropriate for the market demand.
  • To enable the graduate to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the design and implementation of software systems for rapidly changing computing problems.
  • To have good communication skills and are capable of effectively working in teams.
  • To be capable of analysing the impact of computing on society to solve social and human problems.
  • To possess knowledge of the ethical, social and professional implications and responsibilities of their work.
  • To engage in life-long learning to adapt to innovation and change.
